“Moving Foward: All In ”
21-Days of Fasting and Praying

January 5 – 25, 2026

Scriptural Reference: Isaiah 58:6-9

Is not this the fast that I choose? To loose the bonds of injustice. To undo the straps of the yoke. To let the oppressed go free. And to break every yoke?

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry.  And bring the homeless poor into your house. When you see the naked, to cover them. And not to hide yourself from your own kin?

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn. And your healing shall spring up quickly,

Your vindicator shall go before you.  The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.  Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer. You shall cry for help, and he will say, “Here I am.”

Fast
1st Week

To fast is to abstain from the normal routine of life. To fast is to focus on prayer and studying God’s Word.  This week’s focus word: self-awareness. The focus thought: 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?  Unless indeed you fail to meet the test.”

Share
2nd Week

To share is to grant or to give selflessly.  This week’s focus word: selfless.  The focus thought: Philippians 2:3-4, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.  Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.”

Spring
3rd Week

To spring is to release from confinement.  The focus words: eternal life.  The focus thought: John 4:14, “…but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.”

Dear Anderson Church Family,

I invite you to join me in a 21-day Daniel Fast from January 5, 2026 at 6:00 a.m. to January 25, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. as we seek a deeper walk with God. This spiritual journey, rooted in Scripture, calls us to simplify our meals, increase our prayer, and open our hearts to God’s renewing work. As we focus on spiritual growth through a diet of only fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and water, we create space for clarity, discipline, and spiritual breakthrough.

I believe God will meet us in powerful ways—individually and as a congregation. Let us commit to this season with expectancy, supporting one another as we pray, studying the Word, and listening for God’s direction. Together, may we grow stronger in faith and unity as we dedicate these days and days to come to the Almighty God.
